BC Rural and Remote Homelessness Strategy 2026-2027 Application Call

 

The PGNAETA Reaching Home Division is pleased to work in partnership with the Government of Canada as a Community Entity delivering the BC Rural and Remote Homelessness Strategy, an initiative aimed at reducing and preventing homelessness across Canada. The strategy uses a community-based approach focused on giving rural and remote communities the flexibility and tools to identify and address their own distinct homelessness needs and priorities. 

On behalf of our BC Regional Advisory Board, we are requesting proposals for funding that prioritizes:

  1.  Reducing homelessness through a Housing First approach; client intake & assessments, connecting individuals with permanent housing, case management, data collection and monitoring each individual. 
  2. Improving the self-sufficiency of homelessness individuals and families those who are at imminent risk of homelessness through individualized services; connecting individuals to community supports and supporting their success, social supports to improve social integration and address basic or urgent needs.
  3. Preserving or increasing the capacity of facilities used to address the needs of people who are homeless or at imminent risk.
  4. Ensures coordination of resources and leveraging through partnerships; developing a broader community model, identifying, integrating and improving services, partnership development and working with the housing sector to identify opportunities.
  5. Improves data collection and use; identifying the homeless population, tracking, up to date point in time counts, community indicators and information and collection sharing.

Submission deadline: Monday April 20, 2026 by 2:00 p.m.
