The Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association (PGNAETA) are pleased to work in partnership with the Government of Canada in delivering the Rural and Remote Homelessness funding stream across British Columbia through our Reaching Home Division.
The British Columbia (BC) Regional Advisory Board (RAB), an ad-hoc committee working in collaboration with PGNAETA to deliver the federal Reaching Home funding, is responsible for providing guidance and recommendations for setting the direction and funding priorities to prevent and end homelessness in rural and remote communities.
The Rural and Remote Homelessness funding stream provides funding to prevent and reduce homelessness across rural and remote communities in British Columbia. This initiative is accomplished through a unique community-based approach that gives communities the flexibility and tools to identify and address their own community’s distinct homelessness needs and priorities. Under the direction of the RAB, we are pleased to fund projects in rural and remote communities that address homelessness by providing housing services, prevention and shelter diversion, client support services, capital investments, and the coordination or resources and data collection.
