Through community connections the Risebridge Society team were able to assist 3 individuals seeking employment with a local company.  This company provides job training, helping people to acquire new skills, bolstering their current resumes and aiding in future acquisition of employment.  We have also been able to aid clients in creating and printing professional resumes and cover letters.  Team members have provided training to help clients hone their interview skills and through community donations, new clothing has been provided for clients attending interviews with potential employers to help build confidence and potentially increase chances of being a successful candidate.  Clients without transportation have been able to attend interviews and maintain employment by utilizing bus tickets provided by us. 

During our drop-in resource appointments, support workers have been able to sit with 83 clients and answer questions regarding Person With Disabilities (PWD) and assist with completing paperwork, discuss recovery options, such as opioid agonist therapy (OAT) and various treatment options for addiction, fill out housing applications, as well as assist people with navigating the various resources available to them that they may not have already known about.  We have been an important source of information both in office and during outreach, keeping a list compiled of available resources such as the food bank, soup kitchen, and support programs along with the applicable dates, times and locations considering our area lacks many options.  This information has been an important source of added support to clients, and our hope is to continue to build relationships and work in collaboration with other agencies increasing our capacity to better support our most vulnerable.
