Our Risebridge Society team has worked hard to ensure that individuals and families are getting much needed help to maintain and acquire housing through various avenues of financial assistance as well as distributing survival gear and safe surroundings to those not yet housed.  All clients have been able to access food provisions, harm reduction, hygiene supplies as well as bus tickets and laundry vouchers for families and individuals in need.  We continue to build meaningful relationships with our clients, and on several occasions were able to simply hold space, being physically, emotionally, and mentally present for community members without judgement, the need to fix the situation, or a specific agenda enabling them to process their feelings and struggles with their family, employment, or recovery journey freely and safely and offer a supportive ear during a time when they were feeling alone in their struggles.

By connecting with our services via either our Crisis Support Hotline or our outreach team, 14 people were supported in securing new housing or shelter this quarter, 31 people were provided emergency or temporary living support.  Our daily outreach program served on average just over 31 unhoused individuals per day which often meant exciting connections for housing referrals, application support, detox/treatment referrals, and access to basic needs such as warming supplies, harm reduction, and food.  Our Community Night Program, in partnership with Knox United Church, supports up to 12 unhoused / precariously housed individuals each week and was successful in linking nearly every participant to connected services or shelter/housing opportunities.
